For the 30th anniversary of Excalibur, Heller and Starck launch the reedition of the emblematic toilet brush, in 4 new colors, 100% recyclable, made of 100% recycled polypropylene for an intelligent, functional and sustainable design.
Sword-shaped, aptly named after King Arthur’s sword, Excalibur appeals to our fantastical and adventurous imagination while cleaning, providing an effervescence to an otherwise mundane task.
Designed by Philippe Starck in 1994, Excalibur is a result of a collaboration between the late Alan Heller and the visionary French designer who imagined a unique, intelligent and playful design twist . The toilet brush protects the hand as the user cleans and then fits neatly into its holder, reminiscent of the motions of medieval knights.
Excalibur has been added to the permanent collection at MoMA, Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Centre Pompidou Museum in Paris.
